Production Diaries 14th - 17th oct
Monday,
Currently getting my Sweeney Todd scene nailed, I'm working with lily who plays Mrs Lovett as we are squeezing some new features in the performance like singing and even bill skies making an appearance in the scene!
Tuesday,
Starting off again by plotting through the ghost light tours as we are fast approaching our show dates. We need to figure out how we can link every performance with a clue, a pie for Sweeny Todd, a discharge note form nurse ratchet and so forth. today was also spent rehearsing what we are about to show to musical theatre for our shearing lesson tomorrow. We want to show our performance of toys from Pinocchio as we are doing that for our end of year show. I also designed the costume for The Mad director as i am playing him in the second cast.
Wednesday,
Today we had the pleasure of seeing heathers at the globe theatre for free! thanks to our friend josh who we work with closely during our ghost light tours performances.
Thursday,
This morning, we spent a great deal of time focusing on our audition monologues for uni, performing them Infront of the class and with some redirections and to get inspirations from others, I performed my dramatic contemporary monologue form the new national theatre play Vanya which is an adapted one man play from Anton Chekofs uncle Vanya. I took the direction well which was to further distinguish myself from the actor who preformed in Vanya, Andrew Scott. Moving on we then spent the rest of day on rehearsing for our up and coming ghost light tours, I am pretty confident in my character as Sweeney Todd and the mad director, considering it is much more of a stretch as I don't play villains.
