Production diaries - 15th, 18th January

 Monday,

Another day filming and this time we are off location at collage, we headed early to a coffee shop to film the break up scene between Jack and Lucy, this was another tense scene with a lot of stress on both characters. Filming went very well and I am really enjoying working with the film cast and being apart of this project. Working with Beth (Lucy) in such a tense scene was very interesting, you can really bounce off one another because of their conflicting emotions but it worked brilliantly.

Tuesday,

Today was a-bit of a failure, we were meant to shoot the scenes and the beach where Jack mentally snaps and dances by the sea. However, in the true British January spirit it started to snow. We couldn’t shoot anything and therefore I have learned the hardship of filming because of how many factors can affect a shoot.

Wednesday,

A much bigger success today, we got a very big chunk of the party scene done, yet again we were off site at a clubs to shoot the party. In this scene the character of jack is rude and angry from all the conflicting thoughts, he really doesn’t even want to be around these people but he doesn’t know what to do.

Me being directed:

Thursday,

More filming today! A very big scene to shoot here with a lot of different characters, in fact literally all of them. It was important to work together and really listen to the film crew. The scene shit today was the last one in where jack is waiting for surgery as all his friends find out about his brain tumour, another emotional scene. However, one bit stud out to me, where I was acting a scene with my friend Kieran (who plays Jonno) where we express a past memory of us two. It was very powerful and it just felt like I did a good job.

Little fun fact, this is the only time we see Jack wearing green after his steady decline from blue to black as it symbolises new life (it was also the jumper I wore for Peter Pan)
