My Performance Journey- production diaries

4th September 2022:

My first two weeks started off by getting to know my fellow class mates and the year above me. We played team challenges and general activates to get to know one another. Tasks like "speed dating" and "question splat" allowed us to express each others interests and to find common ground with others who all share a passion for acting.   

The second week was more focused on developing new skills in acting, for example:

improvisation,

movement,

singing, 

professionalism,

We like to work together in groups in certain challenges which are mostly related to a truth and a lie. This helps with composure and method. We also started getting to grips with up coming Halloween show, showing at the globe theater, we started to research characters for potential scenes in the show. This helped develop skills to further develop characters and better preform them which is a very big factor in acting.We also practiced singing and movement for our later performance, peter pan. This trained  our vocal cords and help us be more fluid in acting we has to act while reciting a routine. All of these nose dive activities helps us prepare early for our roles and to understand a certain character better.
